Raimar Emily

Barrkel Twisty II x Kippakoop Poley

D.O.B. 04/01/2010

Emily is an all-round bitch who has proven herself both as an excellent work dog (one of the best bitches Fred has ever had), talented trial dog (has won an Open yard trial and placed second in the 2016 NSW Utility Dog Championships), and an exceptional brood bitch. She is a full sister to Minky and Fuzzy (though from an older litter) and was the beginning of the successful Twisty x Poley combination. Emily features in the pedigree of a number of our up and coming youngsters - she is the mother of Java and Nina, the grandmother (through Storm) of Dusty and great-grandmother (through Storm and Rain) of Asher. Emily is mostly retired from work now, but still gets out and about in the trial ring and may just have one more litter in her before full retirement.

Raimar Storm

Raimar Emily x Eulooka Inman

D.O.B. 27/06/2012

Storm is the second dog Catherine bought from Fred, the reason Catherine started working sheep and therefore ultimately, the reason that Fred and Catherine are now together. Like Trigger, Storm was bought to be an obedience and agility dog, but was still quite young when they moved to the farm so didn't actually begin competing (although like Trigger, Storm also has a few tricks up her sleeve). Storm is more of a paddock bitch, although is entirely capable of working the yards. As she is Catherine's dog, Storm doesn't work often, but when she does go to work (when numbers are needed and others are out due to injury), she holds up an end nicely and you wouldn't know that she is only a part timer.

Lokabe Sapphire

Raimar Dawn x Trueblue(V) Josh III

D.O.B. 01/08/2013

Sapphire is a little different from many of the Lokabe crew - whilst she has strength passed down from her father Josh, she is naturally a wide-casting paddock bitch. She often flies under the radar at work, but every now and then we are reminded just how clever and capable she is. There's no questioning Sapphire's work ethic - as a youngster she was kicked between the eyes by a horse, and after initially running away in pain, she was back soon after and once again working the cows down the lane, despite the hole in her skull (fortunately, the horse kicked her in the sinus area of her skull, and so after a trip to the vet to remove bone fragments and some rest, she was good as new. Needless to say, even though her drive had her back working after being kicked, she was collected and taken to the vet as soon as possible).

Lokabe Rain

Raimar Storm x Tundabardi Buster

D.O.B. 26/12/2014

Rain is predominantly a brood bitch here at Lokabe, although she did do some work with Catherine pre-kids (and will eventually start trialling). Rain is an exceptional mother and just loves puppies - including puppies that aren't hers. In fact, she has even spontaneously lactated for pups belonging to one of our other bitches. Rain is an integral part of our breeding program, as she brings with her a good deal of biddability (passed down from her father Tundabardi Buster). Lokabe dogs are known for their strength and toughness, but they are also known to be pretty intense and hard-headed, and so Rain is a key component to breeding strong and tough dogs that are a little easier to get along with. We are excited to see what Rain produces in the future. (She is also a real sweetheart, although does have a tendency to steal shoes if left in the house yard).
